This will be my first time ever ice fishing on nip... super pumped . maybe some of you kind folk can PM me some good lures to buy
Just a suggestion, go back to the reports from January 2019, 2018 and read through them for some insight into what was working the last couple of years. I know guys were discussing what was working well for them on the open forum. A couple everyone seem to agree on are the Northland Buck Shots, Northland Glo Shots, Jiggin Raps and just a plain hook with a minnow and a weight about a foot above. Stinger hooks are good to have and for us fishing within a foot or two off the bottom usually works best but stay off the bottom to avoid those nasty mud puppies.
My best guess is this may be your first trip to Nipissing for ice fishing but it won't be your last

50 days til we hit the hard water on the Lady. Been going to ice bungalows now for 20+years. Tight lines all and maybe get out on simcoe for some practice before I go. Just hoping.
