everytime i go fishing i see thousands of these birds eating our fish,i hate to think what our fishing is going to be like 5 years from now,can anyone tell me if the dept.of fisheries no about this or what are they doing about it

Unfortunately with no predators to keep the flock at a reasonable number it's us that should step in and blast them .... Just one example is the Hamilton harbor, you could go and catch perch all day long 20 years ago. Not so much anymore and I believe those dang birds be a big part of it.. There was way less birds back then then there is now.. The birds will leave but only when the food source is gone..

If any of you duck/waterfowl hunt feel free to use up some ammo on them. Not only do they eat the fish, but their crap is very acidic and burns all the vegetation off the shoreline where they nest. There was a cull at Presqille park a bunch of years ago to fix the problem there. Just remember the 3 S’s Shoot Shovel Shut Up

I am pretty sure there are people on here who have pest issues like skunks and raccoons. Live trap a bunch of them and relocate them on the islands these bird breed on.
