How has the perch bite been?
Looking at making a lengthy drive.
I tried last year I think a little to early.. and on a east wind.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks and tight lines!

My buddy and I were on K Bay on the 26th, it was gusty east winds and we got a few dinks. But apparently the bass were biting, as there were quite a few boats on the north shore. I think I'm good to wait for hard water.

Was out around Duclos last week for a few hours, two guys got our limit most 10-11" range with a couple big girls that went back. Started with shiners, but found some of the bigger ones taking a shine to plastics. Fishing was good, id say you're probably good to head now, but don't wait too long. That will likely be our last trip until hard water

Was out on Monday due to weather to nice to be working in with my son on cooch. It took us a little bit to find them but when we did it was on! Worms, plastics and jig heads slaughtered them. We would find the occasional 1 or 2 and then move spots drastically, by about lunchtime we realized if we just moved 20 feet to the side we most likely would have discovered the rest of them and about every 10-20 minutes we just had to shift over a few feet to stay on top of them.

Beamer how far is a “lengthy drive” ? We drive 9 hrs up there to ice fish but it’s worth every bit of it !!

Coming from the town of simcoe so about 2.5 hrs. You’ve got me beat there, but I would agree it’s worth it. Especially when Erie’s perch have been so elusive this season. I can’t wait for ice !!!
