Coming up the second week of July with our whole gang for our yearly trip. Staying at The Promised Land as we do every year. Just wondering how the fishing has been around South Bay.

If anybody has any reports I would sure appreciate it! Really looking forward to this trip and to getting into some nice Walleye!

Out fishing last night and although the shads have moved in, still limited out. I think things may slow down once the cooler weather comes in but will just have to wait and see. Caught an 8 lb. pickerel last week as well as limiting out all in the 20 feet depth. The fish are starting to move into their normal spots now so fishing's on for the summer.

I will be posting reports everyday when we're there hopefully with pics as long as their wireless connection is as good as it usually is. My brothers and I will go out every morning to target the walleye. Can't wait to be there!

Walleye are stacking up great right now out in mid lake humps. Shads are heavy, but the bite is extremely strong. We had fresh walleye dinner tonight, compliments of some great guests.

Thanks Sandy Bay. Just the type of news I wanted to hear! We work the mid lake humps the most.

JayRay,

I am looking forward to your reports, I will be up with my kids in Callendar Bay again from July 28-August 7th. Don't forget to send me some pics, and I will do the same.

Shadflies are still pretty heavy out on the lake but that has not slowed the walleye bite at all. Also hearing reports of some big Musky seen jumping on some of the mid-lake reefs. If I eat anymore walleye I'm going to grow gills.

Hi all,

I am new to Lake nipissing but am glad to hear the pic are biting.

I have been trying hard since the weekend, but zip, so obviously it must be me.

Any tips on where and when .... best technique and bait?

I have tried around Calender Bay and once out in front of Waltonian (only sheeps head there) ..... worm and jig?

Thanks and happy fishing!
