Thanks for the great updates. Our place is about 10 miles from South Bay and our smallish lake is completely frozen over. Was spudding around on the back bays in my Mustang suit where i know the depth is 4 feet or less. Consistently found 4 to 6 inches of ice with mostly grey ice close to shore changing to hard clear the further you moved out.. The pic below is about 10 feet out from shore and is mostly grey and is where we took our water from for the weekend.

Wow. Its amazing how fast the ice comes in on the small lakes.

Sorry to hear that, they gave an amusing touch to your videos.
I still have the grey cat. He is not nearly as cold tolerant or interested in the ice as Bear was but he still comes out with me on nice days. The ice reports wont be the same without him... but the show must go on.
