Every year in late fall I fish Lake Ontario bays from shore around Toronto for pike and this year was no exception.
I have an office job so I like to shake it up and get the blood flowing so I do some street fishing as I sit too much in the office, in the car, in the boat.
I went a few times with some success and fished a variety of spots: some marinas, Tommy Thompson park and Toronto Islands.
A few fish were caught with 3 nice ones: a 7 and 10-11 pounder and a 16 pounder (estimated, as all fish was successfully released).
I mainly used twitching of suspending jerkbaits in 4.5-6 inch size range with long pauses in between the jerks. The fish is definitely there but very sluggish and requires lots of coaxing and patience.
A 10-11 pounder...
