Not sure where you measured 6", most of the lake just froze this week, so there wont be 6" of ice yet. It was open water less than 7 days ago. Maybe the most southern portion where its shallow.
I havent seen anyone out there yet, probably for good reason.

I wouldn't make false claims about ice to try and get someone to spill the beans on if whether its safe or not. Check with photo proof or else you might give someone the wrong impression

Thanks for the update pigeon lake angler. We're all responsible for our own safety out there but it sure is nice to get reports from people doing the legwork as opposed to the guys reporting from their couches.

I checked Chemong today, I got 2" of ice, spud bar goes through on 3 hits.
I dunno where theres 6", but please guys if your going out there don't rely on 6" of ice at this time of year. Just be safe if you do go out there, don't need someone going through because they think they're on plenty of ice.
