Well saw some duffus riding a sled, no helmet back and forth across Chemong just south of the causeway. I didn't watch for long because if he went in, then I'd feel like I'd have to do something.

Didn’t see anything on the news, must have been his lucky day.
I’ll be carefully making my way out on foot tomorrow down on the south end. So long as the ice is decent. I’ll add a ice report to the thread tomorrow.

Got out yesterday, plenty of ice even saw a couple guys dragging out there permanent huts. Didn’t have a ton of time before dark to scout and it showed on about 50+ dink perch no crappie. Looking forward to getting back out there

Its been almost 6* everyday since the weekend, I can assure you the ice hasn't got thicker.
And by the causeway has a lot of current, not to mention the construction, I wouldnt go anywhere near the causeway.
I havent seen a single sled out there since it warmed up, probably a good thing. I measured 6" in the middle of the lake on the weekend, but I doubt its that good now. Its thicker in the south end where its more shallow.
