Got out on the local lake today to test the gear out great day fishing caught some fish and enjoyed the peace and quiet !!!12 inch of good ice and no slush...

Nice catch now not asking what lake that is but is that ice in the Haliburton area just curious on ice conditions that way.. heading up in 2 weeks and trying to get a ideas of the ice.. thx

No rush for brook trout i know where to find them .I will be Fishing the local lake a few times as its a nice change to just ride the snowmobile and not have to work to get into a lake . Also i hate leaving tracks into brook trout territory lurking eyes like to follow !!
