Looking for advice for an ice fishing trip within 8hrs of buffalo, that has good walleye and/or crappie fishing. A lake that atv or snowmobile aren’t a necessity would be preferable.
Look forward to hearing everyone’s opinion on places to go.

Ice may be an issue
Very true, especially with this warm rainy weather that has been passing through. However, there are many lakes with quite a bit of ice. I was on one today and there was about 5" of clear ice... so clear you could see the bottom easily in over 12 ft of water... kind of freaky

I would be looking at Nipissing, close to your 8 hour max drive but at least you know you will have ice. Check out the on ice bungalows they rent, they transport you out and back. It is a great experience. Go to the Lake Nipissing forum and check out rentals and accommodations at the top of the page.
