Quick little recap of our trip this past weekend. The weather was unbelievable, at one point on Saturday we had a 5" deep pond surrounding our hut 8-10' in all directions. It was even deeper in the center of the hut, making the live releases a challenge. Then turned from mild +5 to -15 with blistering winds into Sunday.
Fishing was slow but consistent all weekend, no real trend concerning hot and cold bite times. Between 7 of us we ended up with 14 Eyes (no keepers), 10 Perch and 1 Cisco. Most were caught minnow and hook, with less success on the glo-shots, buckshots, etc. compared to previous years.
Lowest of the 3 years from a numbers perspective, but by far the best trip so far up there, in large part thanks to Garnet & Cara Lee during our first stay with SSIC, they really went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our trip. We found our go-to operator - already booked for next year.

We had a similar weekend last weekend, they had to move our bungalow on Friday as we were getting a moat around us. They sure needed the cold weather that came in Saturday, did you guys here the ice banging on Saturday night? It was crazy.
