We were out with Bear Creek Jan 5th to Jan 8th and Shawn and the gang didn't let us down again this year. The service was great and we were on fish! We had a large group of guys in 5 huts and managed to catch 210 fish in total. The bite was a little slower again this year and even when you marked fish they were pretty hesitant to take the bait. There wasn't much chance of enticing them to bite, they either were going to hit it or they weren't. As everyone else has been saying, we had good action from 7AM to around 10 and then again from 3 to around 5:30. We continued to get stray hits in between those times but not as steady. The big surprise for us this year was that we had more action from 9PM - midnight and even caught walleye up until 3:00 in the morning. The numbers in our hut were a total 47 fish caught....39 walleye, 7 perch and 1 large Ling. We did manage 4 keepers in our hut all right around the 19" mark. What our hut noticed that we only got one fish jigging and all others were caught on still lines with an active minnow.
Now for the good stuff....our group as a whole got three other monster walleye. We didnt have a scale but they were approximately 7 and 8lbers. Measuring in at 27, 28 and 29"s long. I have never seen so many large walleye in one trip. So all in all we had a great trip, with a great bunch of guys and will be back next year. hope to get back up one more time this year, good luck and tight lines to everyone still counting down the hours.

nice to see some keepers and also live release on some of the bigger fish. what do you do with a 27-29 inch walleye? not really the best eating and not really a trophy either?

Great report guys!!
I was up there for the same dates with the exception of your last night there. We had similar luck to you guys other than it was just two of us. Great trip all in all and they've got great customer service as always!!
I was wondering if you were the group with the spotlights facing your outside setups?
