heading up to the nip for our second trip with SSIC on family day weekend for the past couple years we have struggled to find and hook into perch prior to that we would fill a bucket with decent size fish. Has anyone else had any issues hooking into perch?

no, use UL rods and small and large minnows

I have not fished south shore for years but when i did perch were always deeper at 35ft.
North shore has perch but its all flat and shallower. imo
