Last year, I came to Nipissing for the first time and was lucky enough to catch a 3 man limit of perch. This year, after having saved my GPS coordinates from last year, went to the exact same spot as last year.
We didn’t get out till 10:30 and only fished until 1:30, but as soon as we started fishing, we were catching fish. We managed to catch between 30-40 good sized perch & 1 keeper walleye!
I don’t have many pics of the fish as I was cleaning them as my dad/buddies were catching them. (To avoid cleaning for hours in the dark haha)
That giant pressure crack complicated things a little as I go out in a Polaris Ranger but we managed to find a safe place to cross. Ice was around 13 inches thick and was solid out past the crack!
