Heading to a resort on a Kawartha lake next weekend. The wife has given me the green light to do a little fishing while we’re there.
I didn’t really want to bring minnows and I’d be targeting crappie.
Any recommendations on a bait alternative or is there a lure/spoon on it’s own that might fill the bill ?
I can get minnows but I’m not 100% I’ll make it out.

Thanks
Kerry

1.5 inch tubes on 1/16 oz jig head is all I use for panfish.

Best colour, white tube with pink or orange jig head

I buy the crappie maxx ones at BPS every spring when they go on special.

Other good colours, tinsel, yellow, chartruese and pink.

Good Luck and have fun..

Use a fish finder to see the fish come in so you are ready for the hook set.
