C-Hippy: Lakers on Rosseau are a strange breed -- just so "nonchalant" about feeding/life? ("Cottage-country Lakers?!")

I pinched my minnows in half and tipped my lures with the tail section. Still not a guaranteed hookup, but improved the catch ratio. ....for what it's worth!

P.S. -- And a lot of small fish it seems.

Good luck.

Talk to DB, the 'slip-float evangelist'----he will describe his technique!

Thanks for the tips! I will have to find a time to track down dB and learn the ways of the slip float. After throwing 3/4 of Cabela's inventory at them tipped and not tipped all that was getting attention was the standard minnow on a hook with a split shot. Knowing what I know now if I make it back there I will definitely dial down the size of my mimnows/hooks/rod and line. And maybe try the infamous slip bobber method as well!
