SORRY FOR THE LATE REPORT. BEEN SUPER BUSY
SO WHERE DO I START.
SHAWN AND HIS CREW AT BEAR CREEK COTTAGES WERE OUTSTANDING AS USUAL. TOP NOTCH SERVICE.
FISHING WAS A LITTLE SLOWER THAT USUAL BUT THIS CAN HAPPEN FROM TIME TO TIME. I GUESS WE WERE SPOILD ON OPENING DAY. LOL
ONE GUY IN OUR GROUP DID REALLY WELL “SKUNKED AGAIN” SEEMED TO DO WELL THE WHOLE TIME. HE IS THE ONE THAT WILL BE ADDING PICS TO THIS POST AS I DON’T HAVE VERY MANY PICS TO ADD. MIGHT BE BECAUSE I WAS TOO CHICKEN TO USE MY PHONE AROUND OPEN HOLES. LOL. MOST OF YOU WILL GET THAT ONE.
THIS PIC BELOW IS THE WINNER OF OUR BIGGEST FISH TROPHY FOR THE WEEKEND.
STILL AN AMAZING TIME AS ALWAYS. GOOD FOOD MIXED WITH GOOD FRIENDS AND OF COURSE SOME WOBBLY POPS.

Too bad about the slower bite, I hope you guys fried that pike. Good times had by all I'm sure. Leaving at midnight for round 2 at SSIC. Weather looks mint.

Finally, thought you guys got lost up there

The fishing always has been and always will be what it is, if an operator could guarantee fish you would never be able to book with them because they would also always be fully booked.

Good to hear it was Skunked Agains turn to do well this year, we had one guy this year who put on a pretty good show for us on Saturday....the only one in the bungalow without electronics...go figure that one.

Good times with good food (I am sure you guys ate well....jigs dinner) and drink spent with good friends can't be beat and it is just a great time of the year to get away for a weekend to break up the long winter months. Nothing better than Ceasar Saturdays and those do look well garnished.

I bet it wasn't that bad that you are not already booked for next years trips

Looking forward to Skunked Agains pictures, thanks for the report Jeff....only 361 more sleeps til next years trip

Now if we could just get Longshank to put up his report

Thanks for the report BF, always a pleasure bro. Two trips for you and it’s not even February yet, we’ll done. Those Caesar’s are epic. I can tell you boys do it up right year after year.
Cheers
Kerry

Well I don’t have a lot of pictures but I will post what I have. Although I did do better than the guys in our group I also fished way harder than usual. I hardly put my rod down and had to actively work my minnow the whole time or nothing would bite. I found that even when they showed up on my flasher I still had to finesse them into biting by slowly taking it away from them and making them chase. Once you get them 4 to 6 feet off bottom, stop and hold it there and they would usually hit it. That’s what seemed to work for me anyway and that was only if you could get them to chase. Anyway here’s a few pics and like most of you already know, it’s such a great spot to get away with some buddy’s and have a great time, eat well and ya a few wobbly pops were had as well.

Cheer guys and good luck to you all that are still counting down the days.
