I haven't fished that spot before but I've had luck usually in around 6' of water. I usually find that Bluegill and Crappie hang around the same areas. If you're getting Bluegill I'd stay in that area and if you're getting tons of dink perch I'd move.

Bring a boat and rain suit and be careful as the east side of the lake is always thinner than the west especially a few areas around the river. I was going to bring my inflatable boat and set it up inside my hut ill stay dry from above and below lol

Going to be pretty wet out there...
For crappies I only seem to catch them from around 430 to 630pm for prime time lol
This time of year I agree with fisher boy that it's usually only an evening bite (or first thing in the morning but man that’s a pain). Towards the end of the season I Have found them more active during the day. Could just be that’s just how they are where I am finding them, they could very well be biting all through the day in other locations! Best of luck if you go out there, going to be too wet out there for me.

the ice has opened up huge out of Beaverton due to the outflow of the river here. Im sure the Pefferlaw river is doing the same thing, with any high winds the ice thats left could move around fairly easy now. good on him for removing the huts before losing them all together.
