First time up to nipissing

Hi everyone,
Taking our first trip up to nip and I was wondering if my rigs will be good for a successful trip. I usually use my medium heavy with 10# for walleye on BOQ. Was wondering if this is to aggressive of a set up for nip. I have my perch ultra lights I’m going to bring. Just wondering how aggressive the walleye are or if I can just leave the MH at home.
Bringing the usual buckshots and spoons. Also a few split shot rigs.

The walleye usually bite pretty light up there but I have never caught a nice quality walleye up there so hard to say how hard they may hit. Such a wide variety of fish in Nipissing you just never know what might hit, a guy landed a 50"+ musky this year through the ice so I would say if you have room bring the MH with you, I use a ML and hope I get a bit of the best of both out of it, sensitive enough and hopefully strong enough for those surprise catches.

You might want to make sure you have some pink in your tacklebox before heading up, seems to be a hot color up there the last few years....jigheads, spoons. Stinger hooks will help with some of those light biters as well.

bring them all...on my last trip up a couple of weeks ago, everything came on ul rods except one while jigging with a medium lite

I'm heading up on Sunday, I'm bringing 6 rods and a couple tipups lol. Never know what your gunna need so why not bring it all.

Haha, I’m hoping we do also. Great fishery and looking for a great time up there. Going 9-12. If anyone sees a black double pop up and a orange pop up. Pop in.

I’d deff get a pink buckshot lure if you don’t have one. I have 3 Just Incase something happens. Tail hooking minnows on deadstick works pretty decent too. Idk if you’re familiar with laws, so just make sure you only have two lines in the water and only keep eyes bigger than 18.1 inches. Tight lines and goodluck
