Went out this morning at 7 am. Wind was high so we were unable to get to our usual honey holes. Big rollers made a rough ride. My nephew caught a decent smallie. No walleye today. Tough weather. Had a couple on but lost them. They bit very light. We'll try again tomorrow.

The smallie my nephew caught.

Hey JayRay, some friends of mine went up to Nippising on Saturday and are staying at Idle Tyme Fish Camp on Callander Bay. Got an update from them this morning, so far they have caught 24 wally's and 4 smally's. Enjoy the rest of your week and good luck fishing.

Wishin' I was fishin'

Went out again this morning (monday). Weather was ideal, wind was down. Got into the walleye good. Were in 30 -34 fow on a mid lake hump. Got 9 keepers and threw back 6 or 7 slot fish. Non stop action from 7:30 to 9:00 but then slowed down and the perch moved in. Will post some pics later today hopefully. Our wireless connection is pretty unreliable.

I am headed up to that area next month. What is working for you now? Are you using jig heads tipped with night crawlers/minnows or trolling?

Jigheads with a stinger and a worm. Anchored and jigging on reefs. Stinger being a trailer hook.

Thanks gregt.

Used half green half orange jig head this morning. Also used white - colour doesn't seem to matter.

JayRay, I just read in your earlier post that you are staying at Promised Land. That is where we will be staying. We will be up there in 4 weeks. It will be our first time vacationing there. Looking forward to your posts throughout this week.
