With the 2020 Hard Water Season closing fast....I would like to reach out to ALL the outfitters who have a business to take us ice anglers ( Women, Men, Children ) who all strive to put us on fish. No matter weather conditions, good, fair or poor, they all put safety first and strive to show all their clients the best time possible. - I was only out 1 time this winter on a company invite and weather was the worst, actually 1st time in some 40 years got completely skunked! But that’s ok... our outfitter bent backwards to make us as comfortable as possible and during harsh conditions tried to put us on fish. ( our team did catch some 20 walleye) but I never had that bite on my line. I Miss that!!! -No one can predict the weather, or if the fish will bite, but it’s knowing we planned months setting up a few days on the ice to have that chance! You arrive, holes are drilled, hut is warm and your ready to fish! it’s the Outfitters that makes all happen and I’d like to thank them all for their efforts! -All Outfitters ! I thank you ! ...... see you in 2021!!!!

Always a great winter trip up on Nipissing, been doing this trip for 27 years now and already booked for year 28. We have been pretty loyal to Idle Tyme, all the way back to when Ross and Betty were the owners, and now Bear Creek Cottages. Moved over to Sandy Bay for a couple of seasons in the in between years between Ross and Betty selling Idle Tyme and Shawn and Terra taking it over. Service at all these locations was always second to none and although we had great years of fishing and some not so great years we never had a bad year and the good times we have shared up there are memories I will remember forever. Big thanks to all the operators up there who work under some of the harshest weather conditions some days, without you guys all of above would have never happened.....much appreciated.
Enjoy your off season and looking forward to doing it all again in 2021
