Report from Promised Land - South Bay.

Lost our wi fi up there on Tuesday afternoon and never got it back. Just got back to humid Windsor so here we go.

Wednesday was real slow. Tried many spots. They just weren"t hungry I guess. Took my daughter out in the afternoon and got a couple brown bullheads for fun. They fight good and are fun for the kids to catch.

Thursday started slow. Tried in 30 -32 fow first but not much going on. Got one there right at the top of the slot but he flipped out of the boat and back into the lake while measuring him. Oh well.

Moved to 36 fow and did much better. 7 keepers, 2 slot fish went back. a pretty good day. Mjxed in a few perch also.

Saw the biggest snapping turtle I've ever seen swimming around the dock - had to be 16 - 18 " diameter. Don't leave your stringer in around that dock! Fish Fry for dinner that night.

Friday was the best morning we've ever had. Limit in 1 hour. Had to change my green and orange jig to white to get in on the action. My brothers were using white so I watched them catch fish for 20 minutes then retied my own. We were in 36 fow again. Also threw back 4 or 5 in the slot. What a morning! No need to drag and retrieve on this day. Drop straight down and the fish were on immediately. They must have been hungry!

One of the slotters.
