Thanks again JayRay

BTW nice snake pic.. I have never seen a snake swallowing a frog/toad, except on the National Geographic channel..

Also if anyone sees a snake while fishing, please take a pic and post on the forum, Fishsniffer loves snakes...

There were no significant weather changes all week. Very curious to me why some days they are hungry and some days they just shut right down. The wind did change - coming from the north on day 1 and came south the rest of the week. Don't know if that affects their feeding habits. Can be frustrating when you are right on a favourite spot and nothing is happening.

I guess that's why they call it fishing and not catching.....

I am heading up in 2 weeks and i am looking for a little help to locate them. Not looking for any local secrets just hoping to get an idea of where are some good spotsto catch some wallys. where you useing love bait or lures? does time of day matter? Any help would be greatly appreciated as i am bringing a friend who has never fished before and would love him to catch his first walley. Thanks again.

Used jig heads with a stinger(trailing hook). Put a fat worm on it and jig up and down or drag on the bottom. Best time for us was 8am to 10 or 11am. Look for humps or reefs that come up to 30 - 38 feet of water suurrounded by deeper water - they like to come up to feed.

Good luck.

Ok, I have never done as well with north winds up there

But have always done way better with west or SW winds.

Don't mind me, I'm a stickler for minor details when fishing....
