Ice conditions on scugog

I was going bonkers sitting in the house for so long so I went up to Scugog today. Along the highway east of Port Perry I couldn't see any ice. I went to the launch at Caesarea and there were six empty boat trailers there. No ice in sight.
At least now I know where I can take to buggy to check out my new prop to see if it's an improvement over the old one.

Just found out as of today all scugog parks, piers and boat launches are closed to recreational purposes for the time being.

What does this exactly mean. Every lake has un-maintained launches somewhere on the lake.
