Ice was quite good on Mon but will the next 2 days of high temps kill it for the year? The w/e looks like a good time to practice 'self isolation' looking down a hole if the ice is still good.

Was out on some smaller Muskoka back lakes on Monday and Tuesday and the ice was plentiful, many more fishing days to be had IMO. About 6 inches of white, a couple slush layers, and around 12 of black.

Check the night time temps. They are staying down so I think we got a few trips left still.

I hopes so. Didn't have a chance to get away from work today. Will try for Sunday one last time.
Post updates if possible thinking of Foots bay area lake Joe.

On rosseau today, surface is getting soft. 10” of good clear ice in the morning top 1-2” soft by afternoon. Shorelines soft, areas with bubblers have lots of open water. It’ll be slick after the rain tomorrow and the cold night temps. Tread carefully, anything that was open will skim over tomorrow night.

One ling all day long. Great weather but slow. One other very soft bite. Likewise. One other trip and brought back 2 small lakers. I would think Sunday the bite will be on. Ling came from 124’ coincidental that we hit the far end of the hump.

Heading to Lake Joe Sunday. Hopefully winds change away from East. Never catch much on east winds very slow have to work hard to get them to commit.
