I just purchased a energizer group 31 agm from costco online. 250 plus tax and 10 dollar core charge. Should get it soon. Also need to buy new charger for agm type battery

I'll check out Interstate....Thanks Longshank,
Cheers,
your welcome....I am sure there are better, but as stated, these have been really good to me with proper maintenance and the last deep cycle pair I bought were 109.00
for sure they cost more now, so good luck, check out a few types and make a decision that works for you

If your batteries are located in the front of your boat and your in big waves. Over time the plates in Lead acid batteries can break where an agm battery wont. Agm also charge 40% quicker and run longer. I have an interstate started battery at back of my boat. My 31 group agm is in the front powering my minn kota 55lb trolling motor

It's no so much as "spend the money" as it is "do the darn maintenance". I've had Wallyworld batteries last just as long if and only if you do steady maintenance. None of this charge them up once every ice age. When you're done for the day, recharge, not tomorrow, today. If they're out of use for any period of time, invest in some good charger/maintainers and, leave them connected. Most of my batteries have lasted from 8-11 years. ATV to boat and RV.
