Will Boat Launches be Open?, Not so distant future....

It will end sooner if there is no host for the virus. How long will depend on you, me and everyone else. I want to go fishing as well, I want to see my kids, grand kids and my mother whos in a lock down retirement home. I want to go turkey hunting and I want to go camping just like the next guy. Willie Trudeau who emerges daily from his burrow around 11ish is saying June. So perhaps, spring Salmon is gone, perhaps walleye is gone, perhaps perching is gone, Turkey and bear hunt maybe gone. If we all do our part to prevent ourselves from becoming a host to this virus maybe, just maybe, we will get a few cast for bass. You asked for My opinion.

However watching the news last night a Canadian company has developed a rapid covid test that detects the antibodies in the human body to see if it is fighting covid. What they are starting to do in europe is give the tests out and if you are negative you are free to go about your business and a positive test means quarantine. The cavity is the test is NOT approved for use in Canada. They experts they had on are calling on the government to fast track it as it could quicken the loosening of restrictions.

A bunch of different companies are working on vaccines, there's been ongoing human trials since around mid march.
But each phase takes time to go through and then to analyze the data, make sure there's no safety red flags. Thats why it takes 12-18 month for a vaccine to be approved, even if its the exact same vaccine thats already being trialed today.

It is not practical to keep a country in a lockdown for 18 month. Sooner or later the idiots in charge that still keep telling us that there is no need to wear masks (that is simply criminal) are going to have to figure out that we can return to some normalcy with universal usage of protective equipment that protects the 2 attack vectors this virus uses, eyes and airways.
Something like a hazmat hood for example. And of course stringent hygiene practices.

time will show everything thats my personal opinion BUT as far as this entire world is going i can tell you NOT GOOD , what i dont understand is China stopped the spreading with locking down everything why US and Canada can not do that ?????? WHY ?

China has a lot more control over their people than we do. Even S Korea, which is a democracy, has much more control and have controlled the outbreak very well.

well i guess if our government have more control of the people that would be meaning beating the virus stopping spreading the virus so not i would say our "SMART GOVERNMENT" need to smarten up and controll the own people so stop the spread but i guess they want to go Italian way as far as i can see and US way as far as i can see

All levels of government have messaging and the release little tidbits here and there to condition people so they dont have to go cold turkey into full lockdown right away. Stay 6ft away, stay home, avoid travel etc this is all messaging to condition people slowly into a lockdown. The Prime Minister (like him or hate him) dropped this yesterday “Normality as it was before will not come back full-on until we get a vaccine for this… That will be a very long way off,” Everything hey says is crafted and for a reason.

This article does not state human trials are underway, if you have an article about trials I would love to read it. I still think September at best if tjings are accelerated and go perfect which is unlikely.

Tests have started using plasma from patients that have recovered from this virus..
Hopefully this will help possibly speed things up if indeed the anti bodies from a recovered patient will fight the virus..science says it should..

Yes, a lot of shortcuts will need to be taken to get it into the 18 month time frame, but the alternative is pretty grim.
