Ice out Pike

[wishing to go fishing]

Has anyone had any luck catching pike right after ice out or do you find it hard to catch fish until the water warms? Looking to give it a shot

Get out there and giv er


slow pull jerk baits once ice is out. 1-2 weeks after is when things start to get aggressive.

I hope to be out asap once the ice is partially gone

I have been catching them around lake O all February and March
Last year we were doing well in late April on smaller lakes which were the first to ice out and warm up in zone 17, but it appears that this year it may be even earlier, depending on the weather in April.
