If you go now. You are taking a your chance falling in. Ice is starting to turn black now and shore lines are opening now. Ice is rotten. I know someone that broke through friday before the rains we got. He said ice was 10 inches were he went in. We was lucky and was able to get out. This was on a lake in muskoka.

Parry sound side of things ice is SOFT shorelines are pretty well gone. Last weekend ice was soft could dig the top 6” out with a shovel. With 3” of clear ice on the bottom. This is a small shallow spring fed lake mind you. Rosseau last Wednesday was soft on top with 12” of clear ice. Deteriorating quickly through the day and it was only 6 with sun. Good luck if you decide to risk it. Bring picks and float suit.

Ya we’ll be prepared if we go. Floaters, pics, and spud out and in. Probably just end up being a drive but not like we don’t have time on our hands....

Well we didn’t go swimming but almost. Ice is garbage. Auger went thru in no time in one spot. Turned around quick. Lost one in 80fow this morning. Ice is Changing quick over the day. Near shore now looking for a quick bite before we get off. Ya it’s done.
