Was out on the beach a few times, not another soul for a mile either direction. Some bows, one for the smoker & rest swam away. Trying to get into salmon roaming the shallows but I think it's too late for that??? Waiting for the ramps to open in Bayfield. Anyone else waiting to get out rigging in these areas?? Shouldn't have to go too deep this early in the season...........Thoughts??

I'd guess hundreds if not thousands are awaiting to go out... I also wondering if salmons are still in the shallow... It is still pretty cold, why fish would go earlier deep this season? Any other thoughts?

Going out this week to see if salmon still offshore. I saw Bows dropping down in creeks already. Problem is the north wind, blows up waves & too much junk in the water. Saw best success with S-SW wind. You think, spawn bags or worms best for shore fishing salmon? ..........talking on beach, not piers. For Bows I have best success with floating worm on #12 hook
