Loaded up canoe and went for a quick adventure after work yesterday as the weather was pretty nice, and no black flies out yet...thought I'd try and enjoy that while it lasts. Picked a lake I've never been to before and headed into the bush.

Stayed as long as possible but still had enough light to portage outta there without breaking an ankle... Loaded canoe at dark. Had a couple little hits, watched small brookies striking my spoon, but I mean they were small. Fished maybe 1-1/2 hrs. Was still a good trip out, regardless of what my fillet knife says. Just thought I'd post 'cause I realize lots of guys aren't getting out...maybe the pics would be enjoyable. Next time, I'll include fish porn!

Great report Drew.... I am super jealous. We are going to the cottage to fish from there since the parks are closed. Hope to hit a few speck lakes in the area. Thanks for posting.
