Backcountry camping will be available once again, "starting June 1, 2020, to give people more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, while staying safe and practicing physical distancing." See the news release here:

I must admit they were very dedicated to enforcing this law, A few weeks back I was driving down a logging road with an opp suv driving behind me it was very surreal to drive 10km an hour for 15 minutes being followed. Turns out he was looking for campers he even offered to help me clear the pine trees that fell on the road when I grabbed my chainsaw

Anyone going in you do not have to check in at the office like before and simple print off the permit emailed to you.

Not sure about if you need to leave one with the car because it did say electronic form on your phone is valid.

I'll print it to be sure my car is still there 4 days later, counting down the sleeps now.

10 more to go which is 240 hours or 14,400 min and just 864000 seconds so close!
