I just got the Scotty mounting arm and it looks great.. only problem is my older model Piranha Max 175 has a transducer that doesn't fit with this Scotty arm.. So I am trying to figure out what to do. The transducer head's holes are too large. The little piece that pivots at the bottom of the Scotty arm (that bolts into the bottom) has a very small hole. Should I bore out a larger hole then pickup a larger bolt, screws, washers etc? I am worried I could crack the small pivoting piece if I drill into it.

With the Hobie Lynx I have my transducer mounted using a Berley Pro transducer cover that stays on the boat all the time . It also allows for the side imaging to work well .
