Finally got back to work in this weird new world. One of the guys I work with was going on his annual fishing trip solo since he had yet to socialize with any of his fishing buddies and figured why rush things. Since we work had been working/exposed to each other he invited me to come along with him if I wanted to. I decided after being back at work for a full week for the first time in over 3 months I earned a vacation and why not!
We drove up to the other side of Georgian bay than I am used to, what a difference up there! The weather, the fish, and everything aligned perfectly. Got into about 75 Walleye over 16 inches, a couple much bigger than that, 9 pikes and a rock bass to round things out. Even the bugs were nice to us. Spent 4 days jigging, trolling, drifting and casting. It was the best time I can remember in months. Finally got to use my new walleye jigging rod I got last year and it got a workout to say the least! Came home with our limit, fish definitely tastes cleaner on the north side of the bay!
I haven't been very active here or anywhere in life lately, been laying low and trying to just get by. I hope everyone has been doing well and managing through these hard times,

He's doing great steelheader, the pandemic was a little hard on him. He had been diagnosed as vulnerable to respiratory diseases in December due to pneumonia he had at Christmas. So we didn't take any chances and kept the family on serious lockdown for the last three months. I think being out of school and missing all the normal colds and flu kids pass around actually helped his lungs recover better than they would of going to school normally so that is a small blessing in all of the craziness that is this world.
@Fozzy, he's the reason I got into fishing, he asked me 2 years ago if I would get into fishing with him and now we are both hooked. So many memories and adventures in the great outdoors together since then!

jam1324, you are a 'blessed' man. Fishing with family, there's nothing like it. Had 2 girls, sadly lost one 4 yrs ago, but remember all the fishing trips/memories like yesterday. Memories...beautiful.
