Well decided on the last day of holidays to take my daughters boyfriend fishing it has been about 16 years since he touched a fishing rod we left late afternoon today and took us awhile to get to my boat in the bush had a good 10 trees across the trail but it paid off landed a nice laker and a couple of brook trout considering we only got to fish 2 hours we did pretty good.

I'm thinking he is lucky to join me as many have not fished with me in the lakes i find its best to keep the lakes secret thats what i'm thinking but he did have a good time.

Nice laker and any speck is a bonus. Sometimes the short trips are worthwhile if that’s all the time you have. It sure beats sitting at home sweating. 😓
