Meat rigs, where to find bait?

Hey guys,

I've had some success fishing for kings on lake O and have heard lots about meat rigs especially when the bite dies off during the day, i have found the heads and rigs on amazon/sail but where can i find the meat (imitation/real) for sale in the halton area?

Go to an Oriental supermarket and buy frozen herring or anchovies or smelt or whatever. Thaw it and brine it (to toughen it). Cut to suit.

Lot cheaper than buying them already prepared.

I'd second that. Get my bait from Oceans in Brampton. Sundried and vacuum packed dozen pieces for a few bucks. Just the right size if you got the herring heads split 'em in half if you got teaser heads.

Thanks for the input guys, I have seen special brine with color as well.. maybe ill keep it simple and go with a brined herring.
