Not gonna lie, it's been slow for us. That said, we were snake bit the first few weekends - always seemed to get hit with a cold front with east wind anytime we made it.

We trolled 2-3hrs this past Sunday morning and didn't catch a thing. No perch, rock bass, sunfish, hammer handles... nothing. Been getting a few walleye, haven't targeted pike. Bass obviously has been closed.

We normally get a better walleye bite. The water level came up this spring a little later as a result of rainfall, and not right off the bat from snow melt. It may not have been high enough early on to pull fish up into the far west end? (Historical wisdom said high water in the spring = good walleye fishing, low water = bad. And for as long as I've been fishing it's seemed to have hold true).
But with the wonky weather and the amount we've fished it's really too early to say, and the effects on any spring spawning "run" up into the arm will be nil come July.

We have found the same here. We trolled last Sunday for about 3 hours and only caught one little pike. Water temps are really erratic this year.
