That is so cool!!!I am beyond jealous as we tried to do that trip 20 years ago but couldn’t get four people to commit to the 2000.00 price tag. Are you floating the entire river out to the bay?

Sounds awesome! I was going to get up to James Bay this summer with my camp, all my friends who did the trip last year said it was beautiful & the fishing was excellent as well.

Totally agree on taking your trip of a lifetime. Make sure you continue to look forward to it.
You will have a great time.

My trip of a lifetime was in 2004 when I went to the Queen Charlotte Islands and salmon fished for 5 days. Caught my "Tyee"--a 39lb chinook.

Can still picture and remember it--that's pretty good at my age .

I love that everyone has their "own" dream trip!!that charlotte islands trip sounds epic as well.
I would also love to go fishing for giant halibut

It's just 2 of us...we decided on the outpost for a few reasons....its cheaper,we can target a few species of fish, get to sleep in an actual bed without polar bear worries...lol
And We get guided...it seemed like the right choice. Plus I'm a big lover of lake trout fishing.

I

I hauled an 18lb Halibut up out of 275fow. Felt like pulling a door up. I was worn out by the time I got it to the side of the boat.

I would not have wanted to try and pull a bigger one all that way up.

There are just some things ya got to do....On the 2nd trip we did 2 side trip fly ins as well 1 day on the Brant river...just amazing and another to the Shagamu

And the polar bears just make it more exciting , but they are close to the coast

As mentioned , these kind of trips have lifetime memories and so much more
