Going to rice lake after aug long weekend for 2 weeks anyone know how the fishing has been staying near Roseneath at a rental cottage. Any info would be great Thanks

Personally I have found the fishing to be tough this year. I've caught a bunch of walleye's but the bass bite has been tough. Last weekend I noticed the weeds were starting to get a nice bright green. I hadn't seen much of that this year. Thats a good sign.water temp. Was also down 2 degrees. If you want walleye try trolling along the main channel or parallel to it. I usually troll between sugar and paudash island.I found that the 13 ft range is the magic number. We've also had success rip jigging along the weed lines. Good luck! I hope you have more success with the bass than I have.
