What are the Chances?, No Fish, but caught a lure from last yea

I went fishing on Saturday, and tried a few spots, but only seemed to catch perch. Nothing seemed to be working. However, when I started out, I went to a spot I have been to many times with pretty good luck, and my lure ended up catching some old line in the water. As was pulling it in to properly discard it, I found a lure attached. After looking at the set up (green braid, mono leader, snap swivel, and then the lure), I am pretty sure that it was one I lost last year in the weeds.

Two days ago I was fishing Smallies on a tiny lake at a waterfall with a BIG O. I lost the back treble hook as the split ring opened. Several casts later we caught a smallie with the treble hook lightly hooked in its lower jaw.

I love when weird crap happens.

Now if only this could happen to my rod I lost 2 weeks ago. Sigh, St.Croix Avid with a brand new reel....jeeez.....
