Upper Buckhorn

Hi everyone,

Did anyone fish on upper Buckhorn in the past week? What's it like this year?
I went twice last year and the weeds were dead in most parts of the lake and I could not even get a bite.

Planning my first trip of the year and bringing my family out. Going to use senkos or grubs.
Any suggestions are welcome!

I haven’t fished buckhorn but have a family cottage on pigeon so it is similar. Try areas where rockS and weeds meet. Senkos are very productive for me.

Buckhorn has had decent numbers but nothing over 3lbs. Whopper plopper at dusk and dawn if you want to guarantee yourself something.

White twister tail on a black jig head have been working very well for me lately.

Was on upper buckhorn for a week at the end of July. It was very tough fishing for bass. I didnt see a smallmouth all week with only a couple of decent large mouth and two six pound walleye fishing for bass. Fished shallow to deep channels and found most of the largies in the 10 ft range.
