My wife came up for a visit the other day( long story) so we decided to head out on the bay and drift for some smallmouth bass in the deeper water at the same time keeping my eyes open for any migratory salmon. Didn't see any signs of the salmon but we did manage a few nice smallies. I've submitted a picture of two of the finer ones. Boy what a great way to break in my new fishing combo the fleuger president rod and reel. The wife was shocked as the larger smallie leaped about five feet it the air and just barely missed landing in the boat. What a super way to break in august. Pretty scary though how the summer is moving along, another couple weeks and the salmon should be entering the sound. Bye for now my friends good fishing. Pics to follow.
