Do those monsters taste the same as studded puffballs?

Studded puffball I dont target. Got it wrong once with a parasol and apparently that didnt agree with my stomach. The big ones taste great

Yeah i tried the studded ones, they were great but have a bit of a weird aftertaste. Maybe if i peeled the skin it would be better but good luck doing that, they're tiny. What kinda woods should i target for the giant puffs?

They pop up everywhere really. Those 2 were in a plowed field.

Also found these on my way home from the forest today. All cleaned up ready for the pan.

On a bed of onions sauteed in butter and garlic added at the end. Delicious.

Not much on id mushrooms , found these on side of tree kind of layered , beige color , fine gills and white meatie centers ... safe to eat ??

do they have a liquorice smell? what type of tree was it on? Dave in the future if you have a smart phone take a picture where its growing before you pick it that way the hospital knows what you ate. and or using google lens will sometime id it if you have a signal and clear photo. We came across these looking for honey, looked close but they smell of garlic and had shaggy caps. Be careful!!!!!!!

Don't know that one. If I dont know it I won't even touch it.
