Yeah i tried the studded ones, they were great but have a bit of a weird aftertaste. Maybe if i peeled the skin it would be better but good luck doing that, they're tiny. What kinda woods should i target for the giant puffs?

do they have a liquorice smell? what type of tree was it on? Dave in the future if you have a smart phone take a picture where its growing before you pick it that way the hospital knows what you ate. and or using google lens will sometime id it if you have a signal and clear photo. We came across these looking for honey, looked close but they smell of garlic and had shaggy caps. Be careful!!!!!!!
