Chaz, Pic 1 - like Fisherman said, corals. Aome people only eat white ones. Ive eaten those before, loved them. Just cook for a while (we usually boil them for 10-15 mins before cooking), they wont lose their crunch. Some corals are poisonous so do some research for sure. 2 - a lactarius (milk cap), some people eat the white or beige ones but those are sketchy as hell. I dont know enough about them so i only pick the orange ones (saffron milk caps).
3 - most likely oysters, no clue what kind. Might be edible? If anyone can chime in?
4 - russula, some eastern europeans eat those. I stay away

Be careful guys, I just heard last night that calls are way up at poison control this year due to mushroom poisoning. I have noticed on our hikes the increase in people enjoying the outdoors which may also be a problem. As stated if you can't identify it don't touch it, if you do touch it wash your hand.
That's good to know. A buddy of mine went picking with his wife last week. Gave me a video call to ask about a certain type of mushroom him and his wife were picking. They look like a variation of chanterelles known in my native tongue as "Gruzdya". I said to him no way in hell those are it even though they look like them. His wife is more stubborn than an ox and decided to eat them anyways. My buddy who took my word said I am not eating that. He called me 3 days later and thanked me. His wife spent 2 days in the bathroom with crap coming out of both ends...
Same thing happened to my dad. I told him not to mess with those, he pickled some, had a few bites and spent the night on the crapper. He thought they didnt "cook through" and had a few bites 2 weeks later. Another night on the crappper Dont eat it if you arent 100% sure

Reviving zombie thread. Anyone finding morels? Been looking for them for a couple years now. Closest i got was a few gyromitra korfii ("false morel"). Yesterday checked a spot with tons of ash trees and another with apple trees, but no luck. Did find some scarlet elf cups, never tried them but apparently people eat them.

Planted some leeks in my backyard last spring, they are still small and weak. Might go tomorrow to get some for a salad, and bulbs to pickle. Checked some spots today, no morels
