So far this year the fish seem to be short biting anything you throw at them, trailer hooks have come in real handy. The avg size has been larger then the past few years.
Water temp hit 82f mid July and that seems to have pushed the fish down and out of the shallows. The last few week the cold nights brought the water temp down to the low 70's.

Spoons for some reason seems to work the most this year.
Top water frogs in the shallows stopped producing.
Top water buzz baits are working for pike.

As always worm harness are doing just fine.

6 bass in 60 minutes with 2 size of frogs, if i missed it on the big one I threw in a micro frog, this was by far the best day(hour) bass'in this year.

I missed about 4 so the hook up ratio was stellar and they where slamming them.

This goes against my first post but to be honest this was far from normal.
