Hello everybody, I'm from Sarnia and was wondering if the Salmon are starting to head to the rivers, or is it still too early?
I have this week off coming up and wanted to do some sort of fishing. I was wondering if it is worth it too take a trip up to lake O too cast spoons, or if i would be wasting my time going this early.
If anyone has any tips or suggestions on where too go that would be much appreciated! Or if anyone has any other species/ places too try I'm always open to trying new things! If you want feel free to PM me

The fish are starting up the rivers for sure. They are also staging off of the river mouths. Go to your favourite pier and start casting heavy spoons like little Cleos and crocodiles out into the lake at dusk. Good luck ( like I always say "you don't know till ya go")

I've been out 4 times in the last 2wks. At river mouths and the river itself. No fish for me.There's fish but not very many. We need a good rainfall and cool days to trigger them I think

Ya, I caught and released 2 nice salmon today fairly far up an eastern trib. More fish will come up with tonight's rain. Used crippled Little Cleo and Mepps Aglia (sparkly), both covered with Barkley Trout Power bait. Hen was fairly fresh, very silvery still and 3 feet long. Good luck!
