....and if the last picture was not enough to convince people, here is yet another one...taken in the same area as the first. I agree these need to be more public knowledge because most people have no idea how bad it is out there...I just may send them to someone on our local council...I know just the person ....stay tuned folks this could get ugly.

That is sad, but great evidence.

Question is how did they wind up on shore..? Are they not supposed to be tagged or identifiable to owner.If not , why not?

Hopefully not by some disgruntled anglers as that is not the way to deal with this issue.

I have seen gill nets washed up and dumped on numerous occasions in many other inland lakes.

Good luck with this one..It's an eye opener start for many I believe.

Thank-you for sharing these pics..

I personally don't know all the laws when it comes to the use of these nets by commercial fisherman, etc.. But one thing is for sure that net is dangerous, not only a fish killer, but birds and mammals could easily get entangled in it...
