This year’s family trip took us to an area in central Ontario that we have never been to. A few resort/lodge owners and some cottages/homes nestled in a small town with only one general store that carried most essentials. The weather was not the greatest as below seasonal temperatures rolled in and the sun did not shine much.
The fishing was tough on the main lake. We caught a few walleye and smallmouth, but seemed to be catching a little too many rock bass. It was time for a change so we hit a back lake. That’s when the fishing turned around and we had some great action. We even had a triple header for a short moment before 2 of them got off. We hit this back lake 3 times and we had enough fish for dinner and to take home. Another great trip for the family to remember.
