Well guys i can say i had a great open water season catching the elusive brook trout had some big fish come into the boat early spring and summer and finished the open water season today with a bunch of smaller trout sure beat going to work and get out for the morning bite here is the last video until hardwater fishing starts Jan 1 2021 hope you enjoy the video.[YOUTUBE]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ri4z0f8a6OE[/YOUTUBE]

Thanks guys i can't complain only had 1 trip that i did not catch a brook trout im lucky to of found a cluster of 10 lakes off the same trail system to fish.

Those would have been tasty. I actually prefer the smaller ones for the pan, after frying the bones pull right out and the rest (meat, skin and tail of course) is delicious.

I looked up that guy who sells the lake trolls. It said they were 14 ft long?? Did he mean 14 in.? I sent him an e-mail a couple of days ago but did not hear back. Is this someone you know personally? I assume he has a reg job and does this as a sideline---thx

Harold - I bought these from that on line shop a couple of yrs ago when going up to fish for brook trout up north. I think mine are about 14 inches long with 3 willow blades and a larger blade-like flat wight at the line end...tried them up there but we found trolling anything wasn't working for us and stuck with jigging and a bit of fly fishing...

Harold i have never met the guy in person his name is Shane and like ahalls said they are about 14 inches long not 14 feet . He also does this as a side job im sure he will respond to your email when he gets a chance its off season now for him out in nova scotia

gang trolls are available in multiple sizes and lengths and colors.. When I do use them I prefer a 12-18 inch for shield lakes and 36 inch for great lakes
