Sad scene on Chemong very early this morning. Last I heard there were 2 dead, 1 critical one one missing. Fishing from 16 foot boat. Life jackets or no life jackets, gotta be extra careful this time of year. Not many boats on the water to help you out in case of trouble

how sad. 640am is an aggressive time to go fishing? Thats pretty hard core - unless they were out really late and went out for a ride? Strange. Either way horribly sad.

This is a very sad story. A few people going out to have some fun and this terrible thing happens. I do most of my fishing at night, from the edge of the forest to standing on the rocks or even off a friends dock. I have fished many times in a boat at night. No one ever expects something bad to happen, but sometimes it does. This time of year I see four or five boats out on the lake at night while I am fishing. Please everyone be careful, let us not see these headlines again. Let us pray that God would comfort the families of these fine people.
